What is WAP (Wireless Application Protocol)

Today we know what is WAP.

WAP stands for Wireless Application
Protocol. It is a secure specification that's allows users to access information instantly via wireless devices such as Mobile phones or Smartphones, Radios and all communicators. WAP is fairlynew, it's not a formal standardyet. WAPs still an initiative that was started by Unwired Planet, Motorola, Nokia, and Ericsson.

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) supports most wireless networks. Such as GSM and Mobitex & etc.
It's supported on all OS or operating systems. The WAP supports languages such as HTML and XML, the WML language (an XML application) & also supports WMLScript.

Microbrowsers displayed and access the INTERNET run of WAP. Microbrowser is browser with small file sizes that can accommodate the low memory constraints of handheld devices and  low bandwidth constraints of a wireless networks.
