Why we hear always PUBG was banned?

The most popular and addictive game PUBG was ban. In India several cities, the local administration has "banned" the game. Because, some education bodies have made noises against he game, and some educational institutions have warned their students against playing the game. 

If PUBG needs to be banned it has to be only banned by the central government. Still there is no other way a game can be banned.
