Yes, the moon is satellite. The Moon is satellite of earth. How? In about what is satellite? 
Satellites are object which revolve (when one object run around the another object is called revolution) around some celestial body (any object in space is celestial body). Earth has two types of Satellites:- Natural Satellite's & Artificial Satellite's. Natural Satellite's mean existing naturally like moon. Artificial Satellite's mean man-made likes Aryabhatta, etc;
