What is Megapixel (MP)

A megapixel is a unit that describes the resolution of a camera or the images that's produces by camera. About that one pixel is equal to one million pixels or 10lakhs pixel. That's represented by the most basic element that comprises an image: a simple dot. More pixel that's means more zooming and high for resolution for captures photos or images. It's help for more contrast and good quality images. 

Also, the sensor makes the difference between a good 20-megapixel picture and a bad one. Even my Android phone has 8 megapixels that comprised by DSLR camera is 5 megapixel because it censor is bigger than my phone.
